The Narratorium
The Narratorium has been removed from the game as of the 11th of March 2026 as it was part of the The Final Act Event.
This page has been preserved for historical purposes.
Description
The Narratorium was the event map for The Final Act Event. Like other event maps, this map had a specialized wave structure with special enemies. Players started with a varying amount of cash, based on how many players there were in the match. The rewards received were based on how many waves were survived and if the match was won. This map had two difficulties, Easy and Hard.
Cash is only gained if an enemy was killed, or in some cases, damaged by a specific amount of health. Additionally, the amount gained was a set amount of cash, which was not always equal to the enemy's health. Enemies split their cash between players, regardless of how much damage the player dealt to it. If, in a duo, one player did all the damage to an enemy, both players would receive 50% of the cash the enemy would normally give in solo. This means that in solo, you received 100% of the cash when an enemy is killed, or it was damaged enough. With each additional player, this is reduced to 50% in duo, 33% in trio and 25% in quad. If it was a decimal, it gets rounded up or down depending on the decimal value. If it is at least 0.5, it gets rounded up. If it is less than 0.5, it gets rounded down.
Health of enemies in this mode scaled with player count and difficulty.
- In Easy, the increase was 20% in duo, 40% in trio and 60% in quad.
- In Hard, the increase was 15% in duo, 30% in trio and 40% in quad.
In the Hard difficulty, Skills became disabled. Base health was set to 100. The final boss of this map was the Narrator.
Design & Path
The Narratorium was a giant theater located in a military base. It consisted of three areas. The first and largest was the audience. This contained multiple rows of seats, most of which were taken up. Some of the rows were taken up by cardboard cutouts of an audience, ones next to Lord Exo's throne were taken up by users from the player's friend list while the ones on the side of the stage were taken up by the game developers. The second largest area was the playable area, which contained a recreation of the various stages of the Old World, Paradise and Overworld. In front of this, there was a stage which showcases various cardboard cutouts that change as the waves progress.
Every tenth wave, the playable area would change, giving it a different look. This, however, had little actual impact on the gameplay. The stage itself also changed seven times.
Four Spotlights were placed on the edges of the stage, which on the final wave are used to stun the Narrator.
The path started at the stage and ends at the control panel. There were two paths total in the Easy difficulty and four in Hard.

Preset Loadouts
Each player was allowed to pick from one of three preset loadouts in each difficulty. Alongside these preset options, players could opt to use their current loadout as the first choice. However, if one's loadout contained no towers, this option would be unavailable.
Rewards
The game calculated how many
Rewards were calculated as:
| Coins Reward | EXP Reward |
|---|---|
| Easy | |
| ( |
( |
| Hard | |

Triumphing The Narratorium could give out an additional reward, which could be a crate, consumable or ticket. They were meant to be guaranteed, though due to a bug this did not always happen. In Easy, these items were:
- Common (55%)
Time Scale Ticket (2-4) Revive Ticket (2-3) Spin Ticket (2-3)- Low Grade Crate
- Fruit Cake (2-3)
- Present Cluster Bomb (2-4)
- Uncommon (35%)
- Santa's Air Strike (2-4)
- Festive Tree (2-3)
- Rare (10%)
In Hard, these items are:

- Fruit Cake (2-3)
- Present Cluster Bomb (2-4)

Wave Structure
The Narratorium's wave bonus was:
$500 + ([Waves Completed - 1] × $100)^1.225
Depending on player count, the wave bonus was reduced using multipliers. These multipliers were:
| Players | Reduction per Player | Total Reduction |
|---|---|---|
| Solo | 0% | 0% |
| Duo | 3% | 6% |
| Trio | 2% | 6% |
| Quad | 1.5% | 6% |
The wave clear bonus appeared when every enemy from that wave was killed and no damage was dealt to the base health. It was 25% of the wave bonus in solo, while for duo, trio and quad it was 20%.
Waves could not be skipped in The Narratorium. The waves in The Narratorium mode followed these timings:
| Waves | Easy Wave Timer | Hard Wave Timer |
|---|---|---|
| 1-10 | 1:00 | |
| 11-19 | 1:20 | |
| 20-24 | 1:40 | |
| 25 | 3:20 | 2:30 |
| 26-29 | 1:40 | |
| 30 | ∞ | |
Bolded names indicate an enemy type's debut.

| Man, you're such a buzz-kill! All I did was help murder one of the two people keeping your realm from collapsing and maybe causing you to lose your friend. WHO CARES! You think you have it bad? I lost my FAVORITE frog in that battle. Man, Frank threw the best parties... | |||
| That's it! | |||

| 18 | Once the prison was created, Two X caught Lord Exo off-guard. When their swords connected, he grabbed the hilt and held Lord Exo in place. The corruption from the sword burned his hands, but Two X used his followers to drag Lord Exo into the Cube. |

| Just like how the Old World was hurting everyone who survived the war! Now that Lord Exo was defeated, Two X was left with an uninhabitable wasteland that became the Nil Zone! | |||
| Wait, we were in the Old World?! | |||
| Ha! What's left of it! | |||
| 21 | The chaotic energy in the Nil Zone was beginning to corrupt the few that remained, including myself, so that was when Two X used the rest of his power to create Paradise, the seed of a growing tree that all realms are created from. |

| BEAUTIFULLY BORING! HOW POINTLESS! Why would you create the most impressive realm in the universe with smiling families and overwhelming prosperity if there isn't any DRAMA?! | |||

| Wait, Narrator, I think— | |||
| No, no. Don't make me feel better... | |||
| 26 | Now that you SHATTERED my heart to pieces just like THEY DID, I can tell you how Two X began creating a branching web of realms. This and many others are all connected and held together by a single string. Including yours. |

| Calling it 'The Meta,' he and the Rift Walker carefully protect it by dumping any waste into the Nil Zone. What used to be our home is now a dumping ground for trash and tetanus. But hey, at least it doesn't have a zombie problem THAT YOU KEEP FORGETTING TO FIX. | |||

Strategy
- Towers are best placed around the middle of the map, due to it being the closest to all four paths and near a cliff spot, where if Rangers of level 2 or greater were placed down, surrounding towers could get a range buff at the beginning of each wave.
- Due to the left most and right most paths being far away from most ideal tower spots, high range DPS towers are recommended here. This includes towers like the Ranger, Turret, Accelerator, Warlock or Pursuit.
- On the final wave, the Narrator is capable of dealing damage to the base health, specifically 40% of the base health and all Medic overheal.
- To prevent the Narrator from dealing any damage, players have to aim all the Spotlights at it. The spotlight can be set in place by clicking or hovering on the spot you want it to aim at. It is possible for one player to aim multiple spotlights at once.
- In the Easy difficulty, it is possible to completely ignore this mechanic, as you can kill the Narrator quickly enough for the damage to not matter.
- This is even more true with Skills, as the Narrator's base damage does not account for overheal, meaning that with fully upgraded Skills, the Narrator has to use its ability eight times to end the match instead of the usual three.
- This is however not advised, as while performing this ability the Narrator becomes immune to damage, meaning that while you can pay no attention to the match and still win, using the Spotlights will make the match end sooner.

Trivia
- The Narratorium is the first map in the game since Krampus Frosthold to change stages when reaching a certain point in the match.
- However, unlike all previous uses of this feature, towers are not sold when the stages are switched.
- The Narratorium is the only map to include preset loadouts for the Hard difficulty, most likely because of a collaboration between Tower Defense Simulator and Forsaken.
- Having the badge for beating this map on the Hard difficulty also gives the player the Narrator Noli skin in Forsaken.
- The Narrator Noli skin in Forsaken can still be earned by beating Hardcore mode.
- This is also the second collaboration Tower Defense Simulator has had with another game, with the first one being the Tower Defense Simulator x PLS DONATE Event.
- Having the badge for beating this map on the Hard difficulty also gives the player the Narrator Noli skin in Forsaken.
- This map's pathway has a somewhat similar concept to that of Krampus Frosthold, particularly in the beginning of the map; however, the end paths are all close to each other rather than being far apart.
- This map takes place on either Monday or Friday as the opening cutscene shows the Accelerator preparing to eat a hamburger. In the Null & Void Event, it is revealed by the Narrator in his annoyance, which is then confirmed by the Commander, that the Accelerator likes to eat hamburgers only on Monday and Fridays.
