Solar Shard has been removed from the game as of the 26th of January 2022 as it was part of the Solar Eclipse Event.

Description
The Solar Shard is an enemy that appears in the third and fourth night of the Solar Eclipse Event. It does not appear naturally in the Tower Outskirts and is instead spawned by Penumbras, while in the Totality Tower it appears naturally and can be spawned by the Lunar Servant. It has a low amount of health and above average speed. Upon death the Solar Shard will spawn a Lunar Shard.

The Solar Shard has dark purple skin. It has a cracked torso, revealing a light orange substance within it. It has glowing orange shoulder-pads and a floating sun symbol behind its head.
It walked with a slight hunchback.
Strategy
- Towers with high DPS are recommended to dispatch of the Solar Shard swiftly, such as the Accelerator, Turret, Minigunner or Ranger.
- You can use the Commander to boost firerate of these towers.
- If a Solar Shard has low health and is near the end of the map, try not to kill it, as it will transform into a Lunar Shard and lower your base health considerably more.
- The Lunar Shard will also turn into Dust upon death.
Trivia
- When the Solar Shard is killed, it explodes into a bunch of orange particles, however these are cosmetic and do not affect the towers in any way.
