Description

The Frostbane, internally referred to as Elite Snow Golem and previously known as the Permafrost, is an enemy that appears in Frost mode. It has a decently high amount of health, an average speed and Stun Immunity.

Upon death, the Frostbane spawns in ten Frostmites.

Appearance

The Frostbane is a giant creature made out of ice. It has a white head, upper torso and upper arms, while its legs, lower arms and lower torso are blue. On its torso, it has a neon blue crystal. Multiple spikes come out of its body.

Strategy

• The Frostbane could potentially pose a threat due to it's high health and ability to spawn Frostmites upon death.
  • Decent mid-game or any high damage dealing towers like the Enforcer, Kingpin and Engineer are able to deal with Frostbane with barely any issues.
• The Frostbane often spawns in hordes and on death summons in swarms of Frostmites. Because of this, AOE towers like the Rocketeer, Mortar or Golden Demoman can be used.
  • The Hacker could also be used to lower the amount of Frostmites spawned to 1.
  • Towers that also stun multiple enemies such as the Electroshocker, Sledger or Tesla can also be useful at dealing with the Frostmites spawned.

• This enemy was originally made for the Operation I.C.E Event, though it went unused until the release of the Frost mode.
• It is unaffected by enemy appearance modifiers, such as Talk Like a Pirate Day.
• Originally, on the release of Frost mode, Frostbane used to be called Permafrost.
