The Raider Boss had four attacks. Its first one was its Raid Gun Shot. The Raider Boss could shoot at three different towers, or the same tower three times with this attack. The effects did not stack if a tower was hit more than twice. Its second attack was its Rocket Launcher. Similar to the Commando, the boss would fire four rockets from its quad launcher on its back. These rockets would explode as it hit the ground, stunning all towers caught in the explosion for an extensive period of time. Its third attack sent in groups of Raider 1s and Raider 2s, which would assist the Raider Boss by stunning towers. Its fourth, and final, attack was the most deadly attack. The Fatal Raid Gun Shot involved the Raider Boss kneeling down, taking aim and firing a shot at a humanoid tower within its range. This will kill the tower, meaning that it could no longer attack permanently. It would eventually despawn. |

Description
[edit]The Raider Boss was the final enemy of the Area 51 Event and only appeared in Area 51. Like most major bosses, it had high health and walked extremely slowly. This boss was challenging due to the strength of its abilities.
The Raider Boss had four abilities:
- Its first one was its Raid Gun Shot. The Raider Boss could shoot at three different towers, or the same tower three times with this attack. The effects did not stack if a tower was hit more than twice.
- Its second ability was its Rocket Launcher. Similar to the Commando, the boss would fire four rockets from its quad launcher on its back. These rockets would explode as it hit the ground, stunning all towers caught in the explosion for an extensive period of time.
- Its third ability sent in groups of Raider 1s and Raider 2s, which would assist the Raider Boss by stunning towers.
- Its fourth, and final, ability was the most deadly attack. The Fatal Raid Gun Shot involved the Raider Boss kneeling down, taking aim and firing a shot at a humanoid tower within its range. This killed the tower, causing it to stop attacking and eventually despawn.
Appearance
[edit]The Raider Boss had green skin, black gloves and wore dark grey metallic armor. Its legs were navy and it wielded a green raider gun. On its back was a quad launcher which could fire rockets. The Raider Boss had red eyes and had a grey bandanna wrapped around its mouth and neck. Black particles were emitted from its torso.
Strategy
[edit]- Spamming cheap towers may help with increasing the pool of towers the Raider Boss may shoot with the Fatal Raid Gun Shot.
- The Raider Boss is immobilized while performing its Fatal Raid Gun Shot. This gives an opportunity for towers to attack it, so long they are not stunned.
- When a tower is hit by the Fatal Raid Gun Shot, you can sell it immediately to recoup some of the cost. You must do this very quickly as the tower despawns a few seconds after it is hit.
- Try not to upgrade towers to Level 5, unless you can afford it, as if they are hit by the Fatal Raid Gun Shot, most of the investment is wasted.
- The Raider Boss will not target the Farm, Sentry, Turret, Military Base or spawned Units.
- Group Turrets and Sentries in an area without other towers nearby to maximize their damage output. They can only be stunned via the Rocket Launcher attack.
- Units (like those from the Military Base) are effective against the Raider Boss as they cannot be stunned or killed by it.
- The Raider Boss will not target the Farm, Sentry, Turret, Military Base or spawned Units.
- Try to space out your towers. A hit from the Raider 2 or Rocket Launcher will disable most of your towers if they are grouped together.
- Cheap, fast-firing towers are recommended against the Raider Boss. This includes the Crook Boss and Minigunner, upgraded to Level 2 or 3.
- The Pyromancer can be used to slow the Raider Boss down, as well as provide a distraction if you do not have the Scout on hand.
- The Rocketer and Demoman can only deal direct damage towards the Raider Boss as it is immune to splash damage. It is recommended to sell these towers for towers that do not deal splash damage, like the Minigunner.

Trivia
[edit]- The Raider Boss was one of the options polled to be the final boss of Insane mode, now called the Fallen mode.[1]
- It lost the vote to the Fallen King, meaning it alongside the Shadow Boss, an enemy not to be confused with the actually added Shadow Boss and a joke Tycoon Dropper option never made it into the mode.
- The Raider Boss was the first enemy capable of killing towers; the second and third being the Left and Right Hand.
- Raider Boss was a reference to the Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All of Us event where masses of people would have raided the Nevada Test and Training Range.
- The gun the Raider Boss wielded was the Rapid Launch Blaster found in the Roblox catalog.
- The bandana used by the Raider Boss is the Renegade Bandana accessory from the Roblox catalog.
- The Raider Boss was planned to walk much faster, but its speed was decreased to make the event easier for newer players.
- The Raider Boss's final wave music was Cursed Abbey.
- Coincidentally, the Grave Digger uses the same song, just remixed.
Update History
[edit]- 9 August 2019 - BETA v1.9.0
- Raider Boss added.
- 13 August 2019 - BETA v1.9.2
- Health decreased from 40,000 to 35,000.
