Description

The Splitter was an enemy that only appeared in Polluted Wasteland Fallen mode, replacing the Boomer. While replacing the Boomer whenever it was meant to spawn in Fallen mode in Polluted Wasteland, the Splitter had much more health than the Boomer. However, the Splitter moved much more slower compared to the Boomer. In addition upon its death, as well as stunning towers in a large radius, it spawned two Splits.

The Splitter used to be spawned from the Mystery Boss upon its death in Fallen mode in Polluted Wasteland, wave 35 onwards.

Appearance

The Splitter had green skin and a large bloated belly. Its belly button was dark green. It wore black shorts and had grey legs. Its eyes were white, and a radioactive substance leaked out of its eyes and mouth. Green particles were emitted from its torso.

Strategy

  • The Splitter can stun towers upon its death. This allows other enemies to pass stunned towers with little damage being done to them.
    • While the Splitter has incredibly slow speed, it should be killed as soon as possible, and as far away from your main towers as possible.
  • The Rocketeer or Mortar are recommended against the Splitter as it will spawn two fast Splits when it dies.
  • Killing the Splitter before it gets within range of most of your towers is the most ideal way to deal with it. Keep in mind that it also has a long stun time.
    • The Ranger is the best at keeping distance away from the Splitter. Long range towers, such as Minigunner and Turret, are also excellent options.
  • The DJ Booth allows towers to shoot the Splitter from further away, potentially killing it before it can stun your towers.
  • You can use the Medic's ability to cleanse your towers of the Splitter's stun, so long it is not stunned itself.
  • If a Splitter is near the end of the path on low health, try not to kill it and let it enter the base. When it is killed, it will spawn two Splits which can easily run into your base and result in a defeat.

Trivia

  • This enemy is very similar to the removed Carrier as that enemy also spawned a smaller enemy upon its death.
  • The Commander improperly calls this enemy as a Boomer.
  • The Splitter's legs are the same legs of the second version of the Tank.
  • The Splitter was effectively replaced by the Radioactive Slime in Polluted Wasteland II, as both have very similar mechanics.
