Description

The Burnt Gingerbread was an enemy that appeared in Village of Despair as part of the Christmas 2019 Event. It had the same speed as the Gingerbread, though it had less health. However, the main threat of the Burnt Gingerbread was that it was able to throw fireballs at towers. This stunned the tower for a lengthy period of time when hit, allowing other enemies to get past.

The Burnt Gingerbread could have been spawned by Krampus.

Appearance

The Burnt Gingerbread took a similar appearance to the Gingerbread, though the Burnt Gingerbread was more burnt out (or more brown). It had glowing red eyes, frosting buttons and a frosting smile. The Burnt Gingerbread was set alight with a yellow flame.

Strategy

  • Because the Burnt Gingerbread targets a random tower in its range, it may be wise to deploy a cheap tower, like the Scout, to lessen the chance for your more useful towers from being stunned.
  • The Pyromancer cannot slow the Burnt Gingerbread down (or target it) as it is already burning.
  • Multiple Burnt Gingerbreads tend to throw their fireballs at one tower. This stuns the affected tower for a very long time as the stuns stack up.
    • If the tower is important to your survival, it may be best to sell it and replace it.
  • As Burnt Gingerbreads are hidden, you will need Outlaws or a couple of Level 2 Minigunners to deal with them. For cheap hidden detection, the Level 2 Soldier provides decent defense.
