Description

[edit]

The Void Portal is an immobile summoner enemy that appears in Hardcore and Voidcore modes. It does not appear naturally and instead spawned by the Void Trickster. It has decent health and cannot move. Its only purpose is to spawn eight Voidlings every 14 seconds, with a 0.15 delay between each Voidling spawn.

Logbook Description

[edit]

"The Void Portal is circular in shape, does a lot of spooky sounding things, and otherwise doesn’t like to be bothered. It simply likes to connect one place to another. That’s about it. If someone from the Void Army pesters a Void Portal enough it will intentionally send them to the outer far reaches of the eternal nothing, leaving them all alone for eternity. Void Caster knows the Void Portal does this, and out of pity will go and bring the unfortunate creature back to her army. Sometimes, she scolds the portal for it. The portal, however, doesn’t seem to care and will absolutely do it again. In fact. It already did."

Appearance

[edit]

The Void Portal is a large purple portal in the shape of a circle.

Strategy

[edit]
  • The Void Portal should be dealt with as soon as possible, otherwise it is likely you will be overwhelmed by the large hordes of Voidlings spawned. This is even more important if several Void Portals are active as they can collectively spawn a vast number of Voidlings.
    • Long-range towers like the Ranger or Pursuit set to Last Enemy are highly effective at taking out Void Portals quickly, along with the Void Tricksters that create them.
    • You can also use the Gatling Gun to focus on Void Portals before they spawn too many Voidlings.
  • Splash damage towers like the Mortar can be used to clear out the groups of Voidlings spawned.
