- "Whatever this thing is, it's barely taking any damage! Wait, did you see that? Right as it uses an attack?"
File:VoidcoreWave40-1.ogg - ―Engineer on Wave 40 (Voidcore)
Description
[edit]The Crystalian is a tanky enemy that appears in Voidcore mode. It has high health, lower than the Slow King, but it also has the Tank attribute, meaning it will take one damage from the majority of sources.
Logbook Description
[edit]"The Void Gems, if given enough time, will strengthen whatever they touch — provided it manages to survive long enough not to be cut through. Eventually, crystals will sprout from their bodies and solidify into a large solid mass while keeping their soul core intact. They are almost entirely immune to damage except in specific circumstances, and are widely feared among the army. Even so, they keep a careful watch over the wandering Souls, and will actively check to make sure none stray a bit too far."
Appearance
[edit]The Crystalian is an entity made out of black stone and purple crystals. It has multiple spikes protruding from its body and white eyes on its head. It has a hole in its torso, exposing its gem. This gem is the main source of its power, which it uses to fire beams at towers.
Strategy
[edit]- Various abilities like Call to Arms or Ubercharge are best used while it is using Heartfelt Ray, as it does not have Tank during it.
- Towers that have a high firerate, like the Juggernaut, Golden Minigunner and Turret are recommended against the Crystalian, due to them being able to attack it more frequently when it still has the Tank attribute.
- Towers that can summon Units, such as the Crook Boss, Kingpin and Mercenary Base can deal normal collision damage to the Crystalian, as collision damage bypasses Tank.
- The Units can deal more damage with their own attacks as well.
