Description

[edit]

The Summoner Boss is a boss enemy that can summon Mysteries and Mystery Bosses. For its debut, it has high health (higher than the Tank) but slightly slow speed (slower than the Mystery Boss). It debuts alongside the Error.

The Summoner Boss only appears in the Golden mode and Legacy Fallen mode. It also appears in certain Challenge Maps.

The Summoner Boss is replaced by the Necromancer King in any map with the Enemies Beta modifier active.

Appearance

[edit]

The Summoner Boss has reflective grey skin and purple glowing eyes. Because of its reflective skin, its skin color will be different on various maps, though generally it is black or dark grey. Its torso and legs are pebble black. It also wears a reflective dark granite cloak. It has red diamond-plated armbands and large grey skull shoulder-pads, with purple eyes and large horns. It wears a purple respirator mask, a bowler hat with playing cards on it and wields a staff that emits purple electricity whenever enemies are summoned. It has a twisted left leg.

Strategy

[edit]
  • Deal with this enemy as soon as possible. Leaving the Summoner Boss alive for too long will allow it to summon a vast amount of enemies.
    • Place towers closer to the spawn to have a better chance at dealing with the Summoner Boss before it can summon anything.
  • The Ranger, Accelerator, Minigunner and Turret are great at dealing with the Summoner Boss and the Mystery Bosses it summons.
    • You may want to set these towers to Strongest to ignore the enemies that the Summoner Boss spawns.
    • You can boost the firerate of these towers with the Commander's Call to Arms ability whenever the Summoner Boss spawns.
  • Area of effect towers, such as the Executioner, Rocketeer or Mortar, can be great at dealing with enemies summoned by the Summoner Boss.
    • They can also be useful at dealing damage to the Summoner Boss. Do note, however, that these towers do not have enough DPS to deal with the Summoner Boss on their own.

Trivia

[edit]
  • The Summoner Boss is considered to be the successor of the Necromancer 2.
  • The Summoner Boss's breathing mask is a re-textured version of the Deep Space Half Gas Mask from the Roblox catalog.
  • The Summoner Boss's face is a re-textured version of the Ghostface from the Roblox catalog.
  • Prior to the Entity System Update, the Summoner Boss could summon enemies which remained in the air.
  • Prior to the Overhaul Update, the Summoner Boss was one of the few enemies to gain a shield. This shield reduced the damage dealt by most towers to 2-4.
