Description

The Railgun Tank is the fifth and final vehicle that spawns from the Military Base. It spawns when the Military Base is at Level 5. As with other units, it starts from the end of the map path and moves towards the entrance of the map. The Railgun Tank has a spawnrate of 40 seconds.

Like the Tank, the Railgun Tank has a gun that can deal damage to enemies. Additionally, the Railgun Tank has a pulse cannon that can be used to deal splash damage to enemies. However, these weapons can detect hidden or flying enemies. The cannon can damage lead enemies, but the Tank's gun cannot.

The Railgun Tank can also explode upon its destruction. While the Railgun Tank deals regular collision damage to enemies, upon its destruction, it will deal additional splash damage (up to 1,200,000) to any enemy caught within the explosion, depending on how far the enemy is from the center of the explosion. This can also deal damage to lead enemies.

There is a limit of 1 Railgun Tank per player. This however generally should not be an issue, due to the fact that the Railgun Tank can never be destroyed.

As soon as the Railgun Tank reaches the entrance, the Railgun Tank will teleport back to the exit as well as dealing the destruction damage to anything at spawn.

Appearance

The Railgun Tank is a heavily armored sky blue tank, with a pulse cannon mounted on. Its caterpillar tracks are covered by armor. There is a mounted gun above the opening hatch of the Railgun Tank. The operator of the mounted gun has tan skin, white goggles and a black torso.

The second version of the Railgun Tank was an heavily armored light blue tank, with a pulse cannon mounted on. Its caterpillar tracks were covered by armor. There was a mounted gun above the opening hatch of the Railgun Tank. The operator of the mounted gun had yellow skin, white goggles, and a black torso.

The original Railgun Tank was a blue-grey futuristic tank, with a railgun mounted on. It had caterpillar tracks and visible guns on the front. The Railgun Tank also has neon parts to symbolize its futuristic look.

Strategy

  • The Railgun Tank is great for hordes with high health enemies, like the Slow Boss, Speedy Boss and Giant Boss.
    • The Railgun Tank even fares quite well against other high health enemies that certain towers struggle against, like the Tank and Fallen Guardian.
    • The Railgun Tank cannot be stunned, so it is quite useful against major bosses, like the Fallen King.
      • However, the Railgun Tank can be damaged by abilities that damage units, like the Fallen King's Stomp.
  • On two-pathed maps, only one Railgun Tank will spawn per Level 5 Military Base. It will go down a random path.
  • The Railgun Tank can deal full collision damage to enemies with defense, like the Fallen Hero and Templar.
    • Its cannon and explosion upon destruction can also deal full damage to enemies with defense.
    • While the Railgun Tank can deal full collision damage to enemies with defense, the damage from its gun is decreased.
  • The Railgun Tank's splash damage (through its cannon or upon its destruction) cannot damage enemies that are immune to splash damage, like the Wraith.
    • However, the Railgun Tank can still deal collision damage, as well as gun damage, against these enemies as long as they are detectable or collidable.
    • The Railgun Tank can also collide with ghost enemies, like the Soul.
  • The Railgun Tank is not affected by any buff or debuff.
  • Because of the Railgun Tank's extremely high health, it is good for taking out hordes of fast enemies, like the Shock or Glitch.

Trivia

  • The first version of the Railgun Tank appears as the Military Base Level 5 upgrade icon.
  • The original Railgun Tank design may have been based on the Railgun Tank from Command and Conquer.
  • Although the Railgun Tank's beam from its pulse cannon is an electrical beam similar to the Electroshocker, it does not stun enemies.
  • The goggles worn by the humanoid inside the Railgun Tank are a re-textured version of the the Laser Spec Special Forces Goggles accessory from the Roblox catalog.
