Description
The Time Dilator is a hardcore tower that creates a time bubble within its range, making things slower or faster in it. It costs
1,299.
The Time Dilator has two modes, first one being slow, which is the blue shield and fast, which is the orange shield. Anything in it will depending on the mode be slowed down or sped up, acting similarly to Time Scale, though it does not affect everything (such as Trapper trap lifetimes) and certain statistics require higher Level Time Dilators to be affected. The modes can be switched using its ability. No Range Buffs can be applied to the Time Dilator. When stunned, frozen or jailed, the Time Dilator will function mostly the same as a normal tower, however, once unstunned, it has to also go through its own shield recharge time. As Enforcer's Reposition actually jails towers while being repositioned, this means it will also have to recharge after that ability.
Starting from Level 1, it will affect consumable cooldowns, meaning players standing inside of the shield will receive faster or slower consumable cooldowns. From Level 2, unit spawnrates will also be affected, allowing units to either spawn slower or faster. Lastly, at Level 4, the Time Dilator will be able to make ability cooldowns, including initial cooldowns, faster or slower. Regardless of the upgrade, the Time Dilator will never be able to slow down Boss enemies, it will however be able to speed them up.
When multiple Time Dilators are placed down, their effects do not stack. The Time Dilator first prioritizes upgrades, where in case of two of them overlapping, the tower will only receive the time dilation effect from the highest Level Time Dilator. If both of them are upgraded to the same Level, the first one placed down takes priority. The mode the Time Dilator is in has no effect on priority. The Time Dilator also cannot be cloned by the Hacker.
The Time Dilator has a placement limit of 2.

Ability
Switches the field from fast mode to slow mode, or from slow mode to fast mode. It will turn it to fast if the icon has the red allow highlighted, if the blue arrow is highlighted instead it will turn to slow mode.
Cooldown listed is the Level 0 cooldown, it increases with upgrades, with each being visible in statistics.

Strategy
- The fast scale for Time Dilator is not additive with Firerate Buffs, instead, it is multiplicative.
- For example, if a tower has a 40% Firerate Buff and 30% tower dilation, it will not have its firerate reduced by 70%. It will instead be reduced by 82%, making it far more effective than a 70% Firerate Buff.
- As Time Dilator speeds up more statistics than the Firerate Buff, it has more uses which can be a benefit or a disadvantage to the players.
- The most notable part is that Time Dilator affects enemies, with them in fast mode being faster and in slow mode being slower, though for the latter it does not work on Boss enemies.
- The slow mode is most useful, as it effectively acts as a slowdown debuff to majority of enemies at a cost of also slowing down towers and units.
- This affects units, making them faster/slower but also affecting their firerate. On top of this, the tower that spawned them will also have their spawnrate get adjusted as well, making fast mode very useful on them.
- Unit lifetimes are not affected by this, meaning they survive as long as they normally would. This also applies to some other lifetimes that are not for units, like the Trapper traps.
- Hacker clones have their lifespan affected while in the Time Dilator's range, making them last less or more time.
- If a Hacker is placed in a fast mode shield, it will have a shorter ability cooldown and therefore would be able to place down more clones if they are not in the same fast mode shield.
- Some other miscellaneous statistics like Ace Pilot plane speed is also affected, though similar statistics like the Accelerator charge-up time or Juggernaut rev-time are not affected.
- The most notable part is that Time Dilator affects enemies, with them in fast mode being faster and in slow mode being slower, though for the latter it does not work on Boss enemies.
- The Time Dilator can be placed farther back to have its bubble cover your towers and leave the front of the path unaffected, allowing you to speed up the attacks of your towers while leaving the enemies unaffected, vice versa for slowing down enemies and leaving towers unaffected.
- This is far easier to do on bigger maps like Summer Castle but also way harder on small maps like U-Turn.
- The fast mode for the Time Dilator can be really effective with the Star Cannon as can speed up the charging up of the tower and the ability delay, saving potentially around 20 seconds for each use of the Star Cannon.
- The Time Dilator cannot cancel out the effects from another Time Dilator nor stack the effects. Therefore it is not recommended to place two Time Dilators next to each other.
- In any overlap between two Time Dilators whichever one is the highest level, then whichever one was placed down first takes priority.
- For example, if a fast mode Level 5 Time Dilator was placed first and a slow mode Level 5 Time Dilator was placed second, then both towers and enemies will be sped up if there is any overlap between the two Time Dilators. Enemies are not slowed down in the overlap nor are towers slowed down either.
- In any overlap between two Time Dilators whichever one is the highest level, then whichever one was placed down first takes priority.
- The Enforcer can be used to reposition the Time Dilator at a very low cost, allowing you to make sure the Time Dilator has as few enemies being sped up in its range as possible while also still making towers faster.
- Alternatively, one can simply place their defenses and Time Dilator a bit in the back to avoid needing to do this.
Trivia
- The placeholder description first seen few minutes after the update came out is a reference an AI generated song about Gubbies, which was included here due the tower itself being a white rabbit and possibly due to community jokes calling it that when its design was revealed.
- Time Dilator's first upgrade is a reference to the mechanic of the same name introduced in Final Fantasy VI.
