Description
The Trapper is an intermediate tower that can be bought for
There are two types of traps that the Trapper can place down. The first is the spike trap, available from Level 0 to Level 2. Spike traps have a set amount of health, which when decreased to zero make them disappear. This trap can hit as many enemies as long as it still has health.
The second type is the landmine, available from Level 3 to Level 5. Landmines do not explode when an enemy steps on it; rather, they are activated by an ability, which will detonate all landmines for a single Trapper at once, dealing massive splash damage to all enemies caught in its explosion. This explosion deals full damage to enemies with defense. At Level 5, the mines also slow the enemy down for a set duration depending on how many mines are detonated at once.

Strategy
- As it takes a long time for the Trapper to place down its traps, it is generally recommended to place it down in the back, where it has more time to pile up traps.
- The Trapper's spikes can be very useful early on at dealing with both hordes of weaker enemies like the Abnormal and stronger enemies like the Abnormal Boss.
- Landmines can be quite useful at clearing out hordes of enemies, because of their high damage, them setting enemies on fire and their ability to ignore defense.
- At Level 4, the burn applied by landmines can now reduce an enemy's defense by 7.5% each tick, decreasing it up to 50%.
- This does not stack with other forms of burn defense dropping, such as the Pyromancer.
- As defense is dropped through burn, if an enemy has burn immunity, the Trapper cannot decrease its defense.
- The Trapper's burn prevents enemies from being frozen by freezing towers and instantly thaws any enemy that was frozen.
- At Level 4, the burn applied by landmines can now reduce an enemy's defense by 7.5% each tick, decreasing it up to 50%.
- Bear traps only deal damage to a single enemy, meaning that it should generally only be used for high health enemies.
- It is best to set the Trapper's targeting to Strongest as it means bear traps are less likely to be used by enemies with lower health.
- Additionally, the bear traps stun enemies for three seconds, making them quite effective at stalling enemies.
- If an enemy has stun immunity or is a boss enemy, it will not be stunned but only slowed down instead.
- When the Trapper is set to Random, it will not target a random enemy. It will instead drop its traps in random spots.
- The Trapper is very useful in Polluted Wasteland II, due to the path's length allowing it to accumulate many traps, and the intersections allowing for a Trapper to damage the same enemy multiple times over.
- Its bear traps also allow it to slow or stun fast and/or tanky enemies, which Polluted Wasteland II has many of.
Trivia
- The Trapper is loosely based on the Spike Factory from the Bloons Tower Defense series.
