Description

The Molten Demon is an enemy that appears in Molten and Molten Arena PVP modes, and in The Takeover Event. It spawns in groups starting on Wave 11 of Molten as Hidden enemies, but it can also be summoned by the Molten Necromancer.

Appereance

The Molten Demon has a light red skin, with a few light brown flesh appearing on its body, some of it stitched up. It has two horns coming out of its head.

Strategy

• The Molten Demon can be a threat when it first appears, as it is quite speedy and comes early, becoming a run-killer to loadouts without early hidden detection. Many can stack with the ones summoned by the Molten Necromancer in later waves if it is not killed quickly.
  • They can be killed fairly quickly, so one or two hidden detection towers can take them out.
  • Towers like the Cowboy, Militant, Military Base or Electroshocker can be effective against this.
  • High DPS towers like the Minigunner and Crook Boss can be prepared specifically for this enemy if early game towers are not enough, using the Farm to get them as they may be quite expensive.
  • Area of effect towers, like the Trapper, Rocketeer or Electroshocker can be quite useful as they can damage all the Molten Demons as well as the Molten Necromancer at once, if spawned from it.
• The Molten Demons summoned by the Molten Necromancer can sometimes spawn with the Nimble attribute. As such, some towers with high, sustained damage are needed, combined with hidden detection.
  • If you do not have much hidden detection, you can use the UAV or a Level 4+ Ace Pilot to give hidden detection.
• Do note that you do not earn any money from the Molten Demons summoned by Molten Necromancer, but you gain money for killing naturally spawned Molten Demons.
