Description
[edit]The Abomination is a fast and tanky enemy that appears in Polluted Wasteland II. It has a very high amount of health, fast speed and low defense. It also has energy and freeze immunities, making it harder to slow down. Upon death, the Abomination will also turn into Reanimated. This gives it half of its health back, including the shield health gained from the Mutation modifier and a slight appearance change. The Abomination replaces the Tank in Polluted Wasteland II.
The Abomination can be spawned by the Nuclear Monster, if it is not close enough to the exit.
Appearance
[edit]The Abomination is a large, heavily mutated muscular entity with dark blue skin. It has two heads, one small and another larger, with bloody grey metal next to them. On its torso is what looks like a mouth with crooked, reddish teeth. It also wears black spiked armbands. Upon losing all of its health, the Abomination will point its arms up and scream, after which, its larger head will explode, with blood particles where the head should be. It will also gain a red outline, glowing red veins on its arms and its name will change from Abomination to Reanimated.
Strategy
[edit]- Use high DPS towers such as the Accelerator, Ranger, Golden Minigunner and Engineer to defeat this enemy.
- Do note that when the Abomination transforms into the Reanimated, the Accelerator will lock onto a different enemy. This may end up letting the Reanimated get past it, if you do not have any other high DPS towers.
- The Commander and DJ Booth can be very useful at decreasing the firerate of towers and increasing their range.
- Because of the Abomination's immunities, the Sledger, Frost Blaster and Freezer cannot slow it down.
- While the Electroshocker can slow down the Abomination, due to its large size Electroshocker will only be able to slow it down for a short period of time.
- Unprepared groups of players may get overwhelmed by this enemy, especially due to its fast speed and its high health.
Trivia
[edit]- The Abomination is the first enemy to revive itself from death.
- The Commander improperly calls this enemy a Tank. This is due to the Polluted Wasteland II dialogue being borrowed from the Fallen mode dialogue.
- The Abomination was based on a fan idea from the Tower Defense Simulator Discord server.
