Void Caster

- When the Old World still drew breath, Lord Exo saw what I was, what I have been always been, and accepted it.
My army marched beneath his banner as I gave him a promise that the flora of the Void would take root in every realm and bloom, until there was nothing left to bloom upon.
Now you will watch as your world dies a quiet, tranquil death. - ―Void Caster on Wave 50 (Voidcore)
Description
The Void Caster is the final boss of Voidcore mode, alongside with the Void Reaver at the final wave. It does not spawn in naturally, and can be only spawned when the Void Reaver reaches half of its health. It has extremely high amount of health, around half of the Void Reaver's, and has No Target and God. When the Void Reaver is killed, the Void Caster loses its shield, becoming vulnerable. While vulnerable, it begins to revive the Void Reaver for a short period of time. Once revived, the Void Caster becomes invulnerable again. This process repeats itself until the Void Caster is defeated, where it revives the Void Reaver one last time with its Void's Deathwish ability active.
The Void Caster has four abilities:
- Shield, where it shields the Void Reaver, briefly giving it Health Regen, then sets its Shield Health to 40,000.
- Summon, causing it to summons in a portal that lasts on the map for 16 seconds, with each set of spawns taking up 4 seconds of that duration. Each time, it will spawn 22 enemies, which can be the Mandragora with a 20% chance (2 max, 0.15 delay), Slow King with a 15% chance (1 max, 0.3 delay), Blighted with a 25% chance (10 max, 0.15 delay), Unknown Small with a 15% chance (3 max, 0.15 delay) and Elite Void Rusher with a 25% chance (6 max, 0.03 delay).
- Revive, which happens when the Void Reaver dies. It will spend 12 seconds reviving the Void Reaver to 420,000 health, but it will also lose the No Target and God attributes for the duration. Upon defeat, it instantly revives the Void Reaver to 240,000 health and activates its Void's Deathwish ability.
- Rage, which is a rage mode ability triggered at 40% health. The Void Caster changes its appearance and reduce its speed to 1.
Logbook Description
"Before there was anything to call the Old World, the Void was already waiting in the dark. It cannot be considered a place or a creature, but something else entirely. It is a quiet hunger that lurks beneath the notice of every being, the presence that can be felt when nothing is around. The pale flora that blooms in a place where nothing exists is where it finds its peace. It is of one mind, though it wears a thousand faces. One could call it an incurable infection.
The brothers feared it, and even Lord Exo and Two X, who feared so little, understood that there was no killing a thing without a body. For the first and final time, they drove it deep down into the foundations of the world, into a dark so total its song could never be heard again. There were a handful of witnesses to this event, but all knew that the Void was only contained, not gone. They all knew the difference, and never spoke of it again.
Somewhere in time within the Void, a flower grew, blossoming with a vibrant hue of purple. It was beautiful. From it grew a vessel, and soon, it grew a voice. The child opened her eyes to find nothing but darkness, and smiled the widest smile. Looking down, she picked up a fallen petal from where she grew and crushed it within her palm. The falling dust, scattered through the empty wind, and suddenly flora began to grow. The child was not the Void. The child called it Mother. What she did know was that she was the Void Caster, the daughter of the Void.
Once Lord Exo learned of her existence, he saw an opportunity. He did not trust her so much as he used her. When the war between him and Two X began, he unearthed the Void and offered a deal to the Void Caster. She would walk beside him as his prized General, and in return the flora of the Void would take root in every realm and bloom. She still intends to keep that promise.
When Lord Exo was sealed away, Two X turned his attention to the Void itself, hunting it throughout the Nil Zone. So the Void slunk back into the depths from which it was sealed, and the Void Caster went to the one place Two X would never follow. Straight into the heart of the Void itself. Even he would not set foot there. Even though a God cannot be killed, there are things worse than death that the Void was patiently waiting to do.
The Meta exists everywhere across the entire Nil Zone, but it was not until the Rift Walker fell and the realms began to destabilize that the seams gave. Holes formed that connected the two worlds, and through the thinnest of those tears the Void crept out once more. In the barrens of the Nil Zone, where there was once life, a single lone flower blossomed from the earth.
To kill the Void Caster is to misunderstand what she is. The body may no longer exist, and her song may go quiet for a while. But deep within the dark, it will begin again. At best, all one can do is send her home to Mother."
Appearance
The Void Caster has a black body, purple eyes, and purple hair. She wears a purple and black robe with flowers on it, a black shirt, purple pants with a purple high-low skirt that is really short, a purple belt, purple shoes, and black gloves. She has purple horns on her head that have dark purple vines circling them, 2 on each horn, and a halo floating above her head. She carries a staff and a spell book in her hands. Once she has entered her second phase, she starts wearing a hood, and six horns will come out of her torso.
On the matchmaking render, her robe is light purple, a light purple shirt, and black strings holding the sides of her robe loosely close. Her torso horns are black with light purple tips that glow. Her face is obscured by her hair, which is purple, and by a cage mask (This is assumed, please change if wrong), similar to the Void Reaver's, but only on her face, which also seems to be extending to her shoulders from the right and left grilles. Her pants are also light purple now, and her skin is purple.
Strategy
- Prioritize the Void Caster as soon as the Void Reaver's health reaches 0.
- When Void Caster dies, the Void Reaver will use its Void Deathwish ability where it sprints towards the base. It is advised that you use all of your abilities and move your towers to the back once Void Caster dies to avoid being killed by the Void Reaver.

Trivia
- The Void Caster is the first boss enemy that gets slower upon activating its second phase.
- The Void Caster has the longest logbook description in the entire game, also having the only description with multiple paragraphs.
- The Void Caster could be considered as the only Boss enemy not to naturally spawn in.
- The Awakened Fallen King may be considered an enemy that does not naturally spawn into the Hidden Wave, but it may also be considered the second phase of the Fallen King, which does naturally spawn into Fallen mode.
- The Void Caster was planned to be a secondary boss for Hardcore mode back in 2020, but was cut due to time and technical constraints.[1]
- It is likely that Void Caster being cut is the reason why Hardcore mode initially had two Void Reavers before v1.2.1.
- The Void Caster is unaffected by enemy appearance modifiers, such as Talk Like a Pirate Day.
- The Void Caster's theme Vocatis Inanis, when translated from Latin to English, translates to "Call of the void", "Called from the void" or "You call the void".
