Null Dredge
Null Dredge was previously removed from the game on the 26th of November 2025 as it was part of the Null & Void Event, though it has been made available through the Sandbox mode.
It is not accessible anywhere else in the game, aside from in Sandbox Mode. This page will attempt to include information about both the version before removal and its re-added version.
Description
The Null Dredge was a tanky enemy that appears in Outpost 16, Banlands and Blind Faith as part of the Null & Void Event. It was slower than every enemy that appeared before it, but also has significantly higher health than them.
Logbook Description
"A Null Dredge is a slow, lazy enemy. They are heavy in size but quite shy, so they choose to hide their face using a bag. Despite their massive body, Null Dredges prefer to avoid fighting and will wander through the Nil Zone at their own pace. However, their temper is short, and any little disturbance will send them into a rampage."
Appearance
The Null Dredge is a large, purple entity. It wears brown cloth around its waist, a brown belt, a rope around its right arm and a grey spiked armband. As it is shy, it wears a bag which covers most of its head except a single yellow eye. It also has a few purple tendrils and a brown bandolier on its body.
In its right hand, it holds a metal club with multiple spikes.
Event Strategy
As this enemy only appears through Sandbox mode, no strategy section is made for its current version. Instead, a strategy section for the one that appeared without Sandbox mode in Outpost 16, Banlands and Blind Faith is listed instead.
- The Null Dredge has higher health than the enemies that appear before it, though most options that worked before are still effective against them.
- Single target towers like the Golden Scout, Militant or Cowboy can be used.
- AOE towers like the Toxic Gunner, Rocketeer, Military Base or Mortar can clear these out quite well, as it generally spawns in hordes.
- Later on, the Null Dredge becomes rather weak, meaning most towers should be capable of defeating them, including late-game towers like the Accelerator, Pursuit or Golden Minigunner.
- Defense dropping towers like the Pyromancer, Electroshocker or Toxic Gunner can be used to reduce its defense, though this is generally not necessary as it is quite low.
