Cucurbita Conjurer
Overview
The Cucurbita Conjurer is an enemy that appears in the Haunted Harvest gamemode. first appearing on wave 17, the Cucurbita Conjurer proves to be a powerful summoner who can spawn quite tanky enemies. Additionally, it possesses the ability to grant other enemies the Lantern attribute, buffing them. When the Cucurbita Conjurer receives the Lantern attribute, it enables a special buff to this enemy specifically, similar to other gourd-based enemies like the Hallow Gourd.
Towers that can hit both the Cucurbita Conjurer and its summons can counter it. However, single-target enemies with high DPS and set onto Last targeting like Turret can also handle this enemy with little trouble.
Appearance
The Cucurbita Conjurer seems to be a humanoid pumpkin with a star-shaped stem and dark, medium-duty armor. It possesses various skeletal features, such as a visible, exposed ribcage and various protrusions. The Cucurbita Conjurer wields a staff with skeletal features, powered by an orange gem with a dark ring over it. The Cucurbita Conjurer also seems to be missing a leg, with overgrowth and thorns sticking out from it. Additionally, it levitates slightly whilst moving.
Analysis, Ranking, and Strategy

Alright, guys! I'm back to take a look at this enemy!...Hmm...this guy seems to be a bit of a mystery...the Cucurbita Conjurer is a nice break from the intensity, but don't let your guard down! Enemies like the Mischievous Mystery can ramp up the difficulty and make this enemy go from 1 to 100 QUICK.
- The Cucurbita Conjurer relies on its summons (Fallen Skeleton, Pumpkids, Hallow Gourds) to be threatening.
- High DPS towers like the Minigunner will make quick work of this enemy.
- However, keep in mind that its Cyclone of Cinder ability utilizes the Aggro attribute, meaning that faster enemies can easily slip by.
- High DPS towers like the Minigunner will make quick work of this enemy.

Keep in mind that the Conjurer can be empowered by the Lantern attribute, essentially making it spawn double the enemies and summon Ethereal Pumpkids, which aren't very fun to fight against. Fortunately, this effect is limited and can only last for up to 20 seconds, but it's still worth noting.
- Keep in mind that the cyclone left by the Cucurbita Conjurer's Cyclone of Cinder ability allows it to teleport upon death and heal for 20%, meaning that this effect may catch you by surprise. Spawner towers like Military Base are not recommended due to their inconsistency.
- The Cucurbita Conjurer is immune to stuns and freeze, meaning towers like Electroshocker are rendered ineffective against this enemy.
- However, effects like Jester's confusion bomb can still partially affect the Cucurbita Conjurer, but this isn't recommended as it isn't particularly intended to be stunned in the first place.

Hmm...I'd say the Cucurbita Conjurer is...maybe a 5/10 for difficulty. While it could possibly catch you by surprise with the Cyclone of Cinder ability especially when paired with Hallow Gourd, it's still not much of a problem and feels like an easily counterable enemy. Even with its Radiant Resilience ability, it can still be taken care of with a tower like Mortar. While one could argue that it's really op with another enemy like the Mischievous Mystery, that kinda just goes to show how the Cucurbita Conjurer relies on other enemies to be a considerable threat.
Trivia
- The Cucurbita Conjurer obviously takes some inspiration from the Fallen Necromancer.
- I had originally considered it to be called the "Pumpkinmancer", but I felt like this sounded rather unoriginal and felt like a very cheap portmanteau for what it was.
- The Cucurbita Conjurer had an older design, but I wasn't a bit fan of how it turned out, I thought it was rather ugly and basic so I scrapped and repurposed it, with The Harvester's design taking inspiration from it.
