Mischievous Mystery
Overview
The Mischievous Mystery is an enemy that debuts on wave 14 of the Haunted Harvest gamemode. This enemy is rather feeble, but incredibly synergetic and can prove threatening due to its Rogue Roulette Spawn which clones nearby enemies and grants them a random attribute upon death.
There is an unknown passive in which upon being granted an attribute like Bloated, said attribute will be carried over to the spawns as well.
Additionally, up to 2 Mischievous Mysteries can stack, spawning up to 9 clones total. (ex: 3 spawns first + 2 = x2 spawns + attribute additionally), meaning that in total, there can be 9 enemies spawned, each with 2 randomly picked attributes.
Despite all these possible outcomes, the Mischievous Mystery is prone to stuns. Therefore, towers that can quickly isolate this enemy from others like the Cryomancer or Electroshocker can easily counter this enemy.
Appearance
The Mischievous Mystery has little differences compared to the Mystery, being an orange translucent enemy made entirely of glass. It seems to have a flame effect coming from the interior of it, and has an arched posture and a glowing purple "?" on its torso. It also shatters with orange fragments upon death.
Analysis, Ranking, and Strategy

Oh...oh god no...not THIS enemy...I hate this guy, but I'll analyze it regardless...
...Where do I even start??? This enemy drives me NUTS. If there was 1 word to describe this enemy? It'd be ANNOYING.
- The Mischievous Mystery is a feeble enemy by default, but enemies nearby can make this enemy quite threatening.

H...whatever you do, do NOT let 2 of these guys come near a Cucurbita Conglomerate...this enemy is already annoying (being a breaker by default), but the cloning ability effectively means that the Conglomerate can be spawned 3 TIMES and spawn UP TO 9 PUMPKIDS, all with a random attribute. Remember how I said this combo would ruin your day? You gotta understand why now, right...?...Don't even get me started with the double effect if another one of these guys joins the mix...😞
- Towers that can freeze or stun the Mischievous Mystery like the Freezer or Electroshocker may determine your win or loss. Isolating this enemy proves incredibly efficient, as the Rogue Roulette Spawn will not activate if no enemies are nearby.
- Additionally, powerful crowd control towers like the Mortar can handle the Mischievous Mystery, regardless of summons.

Ok, keep in mind that the 6 attributes applied are randomized. Because of this, strategies against this enemy are somewhat inconsistent. Enemies with the Tank attribute can be countered by high-firing towers like the Minigunner. Now, let's assume the Mischievous Mystery gets the Lantern or Bloated attribute. All summons will also gain the carried attribute, PLUS the randomized attribute. Take that with what you will...
- Keep in mind that the Mischievous Mystery's Rogue Roulette Spawn does not affect major bosses.
- However, minor bosses that do not possess the Boss attribute can still be cloned. Because of this, high DPS towers like the Accelerator, Engineer, or Pursuit should deal with said scenario quickly.

This hypothetical enemy upsets me for no particular reason. If given ranking, all things considered this enemy is a 5/10. For best-case scenario, this enemy is simply a feeble enemy that moves at an average speed. HOWEVER, THIS ASSUMES WE AREN'T TAKING THE ABILITY INTO ACCOUNT. In other words, I'd say this enemy proves a 10/10 for threat level. Depending on the enemy, the Mischievous Mystery can prove an overwhelming run-ender for even the most prepared defenses. However...towers like Cryomancer can be your saving grace and easily counter this enemy. I'd HIGHLY recommend using this strategy.
Trivia
- The gimmick of this enemy is based off the Multiplier enemy from Tower Defense X.

OMG NiL!?1/?!?!?!/
Notes
- The Rogue Roulette Spawn assumes either 1 or 3 enemies are within the Mischievous Mystery's range.
- Only 2 Rogue Roulette Spawns can effect the same enemy, the second spawning twice as many enemies (max of 9 enemies).
- The Mischievous Mystery's ability does not affect major bosses.
