Ethereal Pumpkid
Overview
The Ethereal Pumpkid is an enemy that appears in the Haunted Harvest gamemode. spawning alongside the Cucurbita Conjurer on wave 17, this enemy is densely spammed with the ability to burrow into the ground and buff itself upon gaining the Lantern attribute, similar to the Hallow Gourd.
While the Ethereal Pumpkid acts more as a filler enemy to assist in wave structure, it can still pose a threat in cases of it being shielded by tankier enemies. Additionally, it possesses the Tank attribute in base form, meaning that towers with high firerate like Minigunner can counter it easily. However, do note that in Putrid form it trades said attribute for stealth and resistance, so towers like Turret or Warden can be used in such cases.
Appearance
The Ethereal Pumpkid looks similar to the Pumpkid, with a few major differences. For starters, the Ethereal Pumpkid takes on a primarily white color scheme with purple accents. Its stem is replaced with a god cube shard being lodged within its head, with various black and purple veins spread across the Ethereal Pumpkids' body. It has a large, gaping mouth and possesses an angry expression, emitting a purple glow and lightning effect. When the Ethereal Pumpkid enters its Putrid phase, its primary white color will invert to black.
Analysis, Ranking, and Strategy

Right off the rip, the Ethereal Pumpkid is a 4/10 for threat level. It proves to be more of a filler enemy that acts as a summon, but there are a few things to consider when encountering this enemy nonetheless.
- Keep in mind that whilst in Ethereal form, the Ethereal Pumpkid possesses the Tank attribute.
- Because of this, slow yet high-damaging towers like the Ranger are ineffective against this enemy.
- However, due to its low health and slightly above-average speed, high-firing towers with long range such as the Accelerator are quite potent in dealing with this enemy.
- Because of this, slow yet high-damaging towers like the Ranger are ineffective against this enemy.

Well, the Ethereal phase is easy, but the Putrid phase kinda turns all of this on its head. Now, upon entering Putrid phase the Ethereal Pumpkid loses its Tank attribute, but gets SO much more health and becomes a hidden enemy, along with stun immunity.
However, it DOES become slower, making it a bit of a tradeoff. Comparing this to the Ethereal form, I'd say this is quite an annoying upgrade to this enemy.
- Due to its stun immunity, the Putrid Pumpkid will counter towers like Electroshocker or Brawler.
- Speaking of Brawler, it reduces in value due to the Putrid Pumpkids' hidden attribute.
- However, the Ethereal Pumpkid will only enter this form if given the Lantern attribute.
- Because of this, enemies that can grant said attribute like the Cucurbita Conjurer should be avoided at all costs.

In summary, the Ethereal Pumpkid is a weaker-ended enemy that can still prove a threat with either its Tank or Hidden attributes. While it isn't the strongest enemy, it can still stack up quickly and plow through your defenses. While I wouldn't say they're a run-ender, they are essentially a "pick your poison" enemy that shouldn't be underestimated.
Original Design

The original design of the Ethereal Pumpkid was simply a recolor, but was to have different stats and gimmicks.
While it wasn't too different, it was to work similarly to the Pumpkid, with increased stats and only 2 phases; Ethereal and Putrid.
I overall scrapped this design, not particularly because it was BAD, I simply just felt like it could've been more than a Pumpkid recolor and could've been a bit more unique.
Trivia
- The Ethereal Pumpkid is a corrupted version of the Pumpkid.
- The color scheme was based off the Sinister Pumpkin and Sinister S. accessories from the Roblox catalog, as are other enemies within the Haunted Harvest gamemode such as Pumpking Ominous.
